Busy Signal is excited about the success of his latest campaign for the new Pepsi Bubbla.
Pepsi approached the seasoned artist for the second time to endorse their latest drink.
According to the head of Marketing for Pepsi Jamaica; clients are saying that the Busy’s jingles for the brand have been connecting well with the masses.
This year Pepsi ventured out into the Jamaican music industry sponsoring major entertainment events including the recently concluded and successful Reggae Sumfest.
As for the singjay recording his own distinct jingles for the brand Busy says, “They requested it…”
“We did some work with them before when they changed the logo, myself and Voicemail. This time they wanted to do a different thing with the bottle.”
As far as Pepsi Jamaica is concerned, Busy Signal possesses all the characteristics making him the perfect choice to be the voice and face of the campaign.
“We hope that when one thinks of Pepsi Bubbla, it’s something exciting, fresh, and innovative, and we think Busy Signal is synonymous with exactly that…
[...]His image, his songs make it easy for us, a major corporate company, to align ourselves with him. Like Pepsi, Busy appeals to a wide cross section of Jamaica. He is a great entertainer, very easy to work with and has a great team around him.”
Wednesday Killa confirmed that there is in fact tension between the Alliance and the Gully Squad.
He said that he was offended by Chase Cross’ Mash Up Everything which leaked out over the internet early this week.
He expressed disappointment particularly because such a song could not be recorded without the consent or knowledge of the Starbwoy himself, who never brought it to his attention.
Killa’s Twitter Family connected with the Grungaad expressing their discontent with the situation and asking if the “rumors” they were hearing were true.
He responded frankly and sincerely; “Been hearing little things but don’t just run wid hearsay but the song confirms that things being said nobody nu ask mi ntn[...]How can u heard shit about ur good friend and don’t confronts dem clearly yu never rate the friendship then.
“…No preeingz u have Thanx and No Thanx good courtesy and bad courtesy I got a No Thanx 4 the good I’ve done dem simple”
Bounty Killer’s ultimate response “It can’t be my lost warlord Stands Alone pray 4 dem AFL/ANG.”

Corey Todd announced early this week that he and Aidonia have signed an endorsement deal.
In a recent interview Todd discusses how the link came about, the new network he is building and the upcoming products that will soon be released and endorsed by the JOP artist.
Without going into as much detail as read in Khago’s latest interview but still giving fans insight into his perspective via his latest blog post; I-Octane urges fans to dispel all rumors.
[...]Nuff people a give mi ratings and mi nah guh lie, it feels good to hear sincere praise. But more and more I realize that this journey is a difficult. When people look on me and tell me dat “Yes mi boss, yu a di king”, they don’t realize that the crown that they put on my head is a heavy one. I’m not complaining but I want to acknowledge that sometimes it rough. Whole heap a people want to see me fail. Some people come out of the woodwork and trying to work hard to see di I fall. But a God mi trust in, so dem can try anyting.
It would be a waste of my time to try and address every little rumour or every comment that people make, but hear what, that is a distraction. Mi always say that people will say anything and I can’t control that. And every story sounds true until somebody tells the other side and sets the record straight. But nothing before its time and I believe that eventually everything will come to light. If Jah wasn’t blessing me and I wasn’t rising, nobody would business wid me, but is suh life guh. Mi nah feud wid nuhbaddy, mi nah call up nuhbaddy name, mi nah do interview bout nuhbaddy, and mi not targeting anybody. Mi a do music. Deh suh mi focus deh. I am not a man weh like mix up. I understand that in this industry people will call up my name but me personally nah guh contribute to any of that or do that to anyone else.
As far as mi concerned, me and everybody good because when mi guh to bed mi conscience clear. Suh if some people nuh like mi, fine, cause di Almighty put people in mi life fi a reason and Him take dem out fi a reason. Mi nah fight dat. I just want to tell unnu as mi fans that mi deh pon a mission to spread di music and do Jah works. Mi nuh perfect but mi heart clean and the Almighty knows that. Right now I’m working on putting out a first class album that mi fans can feel good about. So don’t waste unnu time a argue wid people or a try defend di ting. Mi love unnu, but each of you have a purpose inna life as well, so don’t make anybody distract you from dat. Just as unnu support and love me, I want the best for you as well.
Since the release of Khago’s stinging Blood A Boil which appeared to be aimed straight at I-Octane’s Nuh Ramp Wid We fans have been wondering if the two were heading straight towards the next lyrical confrontation.
Earlier this year Khago’s management (Bankylous Productions) disassociated themselves from the controversial track upon its release. Bankylous Productions released a statement confirming that the song was recorded without the management team giving the necessary go-ahead[...] and as such songs are not in accordance to Bankylous Productions policies
Still never a direct statement from either artist publicly declaring a there was in fact a feud.
Matterhorn even spoke openly about the quiet shots firing back and forth between the two in one of his latest releases entitled Dancehall Duppy.TONY MATTERHORN- DANCEHALL DUPPY
Khago, however aimed to set things straight in a recent interview where he talked openly about his beef with the Digicel brand Ambassador, and former friend I-Octane.
“I Octane needs to stop telling people say me and him good, mi and him no good. Him need fi stop tell people say me and him friend. Mi put in nuff work wid him, from him first song, mi have Caan Cool at #3 on the chart, mi ask him fi call mi out so people can know me cause ah mi and him used to par, mi sing background vocals fi him, mi used to cook at Octane yard, and when him find out say mi talented like him, him no waan nobody know me, him just want me to be a background singer,” .
“But mi have three yute, so mi caan mek my ting waste, mi work fi not even a dolla fi him and when a my time fi get my go, him stop deal wid me. Three years him no talk to me after mi sing the last background vocals for him at Beenie Sizzle just because mi ask him fi help me. Yu can ask producer Crush bout it, and then three years after him stop tek mi phone call then, mi go find Nah Sell Out, him run back say him waan do combination and management say mi nuffi do it. When mi and him a roll, mi used to teach people how fi do sister locks, him do song say “no man caan ramp wid mi like how dem play wid dem catty, no man caan put dem hand inna mi natty” because him know mi used to teach people how fi do sister locks and mi no ansa him. Him see mi over Portmore and say him like the low profile rims pon mi car. Him invite me over him yard and the following week, somebody send me a link pon mi Facebook page say ‘Octane do Khago diss’ and when mi click it, ah the song: “Mi no go ah mi bed fi dream bout bwoy, dem sell out fi low profile rims….”. So him ah diss me under psyches all this time.”
“Yu nuh have no respect fi mi three yutes dem, cause that’s why mi do Blood A Boil, ah long time mi ah hold it and mi caan hold it no more. Him no know how the babymother pressure feel, mi ask Octane fi stop be the back wheel and come forward and him no want that happen. Him like ‘yes man’ and ‘dads’ him up and mi do de pon that, him waan mi tell lie say Teflon have knife ah Fully Loaded fi stab him up, and mi refuse fi do it. The ting deeper than music, it more than just music, mi no sing no song fi be no troublemaker. Dem used the one song, Blood a Boil fi tarnish ting. Him trouble Teflon , and then run come pon TV and say me and Teflon a friend, It reach the point say me and Octane ah Cane and Abel, and stop tell people say ah him gimme mi name, ah Jimmy Hinds give me my name. Mi used to lef Spanish Town and go cook food fi him, mi used to all wash him car, I was him buckler. Mi and my friend dem wash my cars dem together, me and my friend dem roll different, mi wash all the wheel dem, the duttiest part mi do it.”
“Mi no need fi gas up no crowd fi get forward, go pon youtube and yu will see the real forward.”
“Him go pon Buzz on IRIE FM, and tell people say me waan him and de pon a Mavado and Kartel ting, wah dat yu a try do to mi yute? How yu fi talk dem tings de? Why yu nuh talk how yu a try keep mi down? Ah fear him fear mi so? Octane is a glory taker, and the glory belong to the Most High. Mi nah hide it no more.”
Rumors have been swirling after Chase Cross’s Mash It Up leaked over the internet earlier this week.
The tune displays an angry Chase Cross taking aim at his Alliance family.
Following the leak Julian Jones-Griffith, Mavado’s manager quickly attempted to clear up confused Gully and Alliance fans (via Twitter), asserting there is no beef within the camp.
I spoke to him a while ago and he sed it was done the night Connie died an emotions were v high…He told Mavado about it and singer told him scrap that.
Chase agreed an buried it but apparently engineer saved a copy an it now leaked…
According to Jones-Griffith, the song was a mistake and not intended for release;
No coincidence leaked 2day when Connie is being buried. Chase Cross is not standing by the song n has disassociated himself from its release
AllianceGully is a family sumtimes yungsters in any family do tings that displease the elders. Wen they can tek reasonin an grow it positive
Chase Cross was unavailable for comment, although his manager did say Chase Cross was just expressing his feelings in response to the negative comments that were being made by members of the Alliance after his friends death (read more about that here.)
Mavado and Bounty Killer have yet to make any public comment on the matter.

Christian Tavares-Finson, attorney representing Mavado, has made contact with the Anchovy Police in response to the recent allegations brought forth against the artist.
Mavado’s manager, says the incident involving a man and his son on Friday night was a misunderstanding and Mr. Tavares-Finson is in the process of clearing up the matter.
A man claimed that he stopped his car on Belmont Road on Friday Night when Vado and his entourage drove up and “demanded” that he move his vehicle so that they could pass.
He goes on to say that Starbwoy and his entourage exited their vehicle and began attacking him and his 17 year old son with a machete when they refused to move.
The man also alleges that Mavado jumped back his vehicle and began to ram his car into their vehicle several times.
The man and his son were reportedly injured while their car also sustained damage.
The alleged attack was reported to the Anchovy Police and the injured man and son were treated at hospital.

Nicki Minaj was fined $1,000 today for the use of “indecent language” during her Reggae Sumfest performance at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay, St. James on Saturday, July 23.
Nicki was served with a summons to appear in court on Thursday, July 28, on the charges.
Although her attorney made an appeal for the matter to be pushed forward to today.
He then pleaded guilty on her behalf and was fined the $1,000.
Some continue t0 argue that there is an apparent double standard employed by authorities enforcing the ban on “Indecent Language” in the case of foreign performers vs. Jamaican performers.
Two nights before I-Octane admitted on stage of police warnings not to perform his 2010 hit Puff It on the Orange Hill Riddim.
While Minaj seemingly enjoyed the privilege of one expletive after another without any form of warning or sanction.
Guess since (according to Spice) PM Bruce Golding flew back into Jamaica while off on official business just to see the reigning queen of hip hop perform, they can make an exception or two.
Reggae Sumfest 2011 was the Trinidadian-born superstar’s first stage performance in Jamaica.
