There are talks of another US extradition request from the island.
This time the request is for a popular entertainer from the dancehall fraternity. Officers have labelled a singjay as an associate of former West Kingston strongman Christopher Dudus Coke, currently awaiting sentencing on drug related charges in the US.
According to the Gleaner law enforcement officers have already confirmed that the Corporate Area-based artist is a green card holder and is being sought on drug related allegations.
The authorities have yet to reveal the name of the artist.
The latest information comes against the back drop of a recent statement made by head of the CIB Assistant Commissioner Ealan Powell, that a number of entertainers have popped up on the police radar and will be arrested soon.
Powell’s comment came shortly after the arrest of controversial dancehall star, Adidja “Vybz Kartel” Palmer.
Kartel is currently before the courts on 2 murder charges and the police say he has been implicated in at least 5 others.
“We have an interest in at least 10 other members of the entertainment industry, some of whom have been implicated in a number of murders and shootings,” Powell told the press recently.
Remember the missing Pet who got caught up at immigration way back from the first episode of Teacha’s Pet? She has finally been revealed courtesy of the Teacha’sPet.com.
Currently being touted as the LOST PET, the 26 year old Trini was travelling to Jamaica via NYC.
ABOUT ME: My Name is Shirelle aka Rellyras also known as “THE NAUGHTY DREAD”. I’m a 26yr old Trinidadian beauty, considered to be one of Brooklyn’s Finest and an all around bad ass New York Hunnie. Much like VYBZ KARTEL I am the perfect mix of contemporary & culture I’m heavily tattooed & pierced I live an alternative lifestyle and my own business an Adult Toy Shoppe and travel coast to coast btwn NY, Cali, Trinidad & Miami and one thing that keeps me going on my ipod is my boo Kartel. I love VYBZ and I am writing to be considered for a spot on Teachers Pet Dating Show. I know one look at my NAUGHTINESS and he would love it so much I could inspire a whole album! I’m looking for love and although I could teach Vybz a thing or two I dont mind being a Teachers pet!
Interestingly enough if we count the LOST PET as well as those we’ve already become aquainted with that still only makes 19 girls. Guess who’s gonna be revealed in episode 9?
The WILD CARD will be making her first appearance on the show this Friday. She’s young, she’s another Trini and inside sources are saying she will be changing the pace of the whole show.

VP Records and Scikron have announced the release of I-Octane’s debut album, ‘Crying To The Nation,’ available January 31, 2012.
Following in the path of his predecessors Sizzla, Capleton and Buju, Octane’s Crying to the Nation plans on catapulting the artist to becoming one of the leaders of the conscious dancehall movement.
His new singles L.O.V.E Y.O.U, Missing You, ft. Agent Sasco and Once More reflect his emotional sensibility, while songs like Vanity Will Come, All We Need Is Love (featuring Tarrus Riley) are filled with positive content which has been lacking in dancehall.
“I feel good about all the songs I’ve done since I have started out, but this album is very special to me because I got the chance to make the type of songs that I really enjoy and meds the music in a different creative way. My fans will get to see another side of me and after all the challenges I’ve faced in the industry, seeing my first album is a great accomplishment. I give thanks for that,” states I-Octane.
Most of the album’s tracks have not been heard with the exception of dancehall anthems “Nuh Love Inna Dem” and “Puff It” as well as “Lose A Friend,” arguably his biggest and most requested song to date.
Billboard magazine listed I-Octane as one of their 15 Artists Impacting The Indie Scene for 2011.
Konshens has gone viral. The singjay has launched his very own app. The app is now officially available for download on all smart phones, and android devices free of charge.
The Konshens App gives fans a first look into new music from the artist, videos, news and much more.
There is also a fan wall where fans can leave comments and interact in real time.
Konshens is not the first reggae star to come out with his own app to boost sales and digitally engage fans. The Queen of the Dancehall Lady Saw launched her very own app to rave reviews almost one year ago.
Konshens next album entitled Mental Maintenance is set for release in February of 2012.
