Police dispel jail break rumors

POLICE have denied claims that Vybz Kartel escaped from the New Horizon Adult Remand Centre in the middle of the night.

Reports stemming from a apparent online prank surfaced this morning alleging that the deejay and 7 other inmates held guards hostage at gunpoint minutes after 1AM.

The story went on to claim that Kartel and the inmates stole uniforms and a vehicle belonging to the Correctional Services Department before escaping.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police Les Green spoke to the press this morning refuting claims of a jail break by the artist.

Similarily police at Denham Town Police station, the police station nearest to the remand centre were also unaware of the reports as was the CCN who hadn’t heard any such thing of a jail break.
