There’s more bad news for Buju Banton.
The Broward Palm Beach New Times is reporting that Federal Judge James Moody Tuesday denied Buju Banton’s request for a new trial.
In his decision, the judge wrote that there is no need for a new trial in light of an Atlanta appeals court’s ruling that there was sufficient evidence to convict the reggae star on a gun charge.
The report added that under the new ruling, Buju’s sentence could be extended from ten to 15 years.
However Buju’s legal team is not giving up.
Buju’s attorney, David Oscar Markus told the Broward Palm Beach New Times that he plans to appeal the case again.
